27-April-2019 Today is weekend and also the beginning of long public holidays in Vietnam. It is the celebration of Reunification (30-April) and International Labor Day (1-May). The heat wave has been gone and most of the country has a nice day with lovely temperatures. The only regions still has high temperatures are: the provinces to the Northwest of Ho Chi Minh City (Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh). Patchy rains are found in several regions: Northeast, Northwest, Quang Binh, Mekong Delta. Hanoi enjoys another lovely sunny day with breezes and pleasant temperatures.
26-April-2019 The temperatures get much better in part of the Northwest of Vietnam (Hoa Binh, Yen Bai, Lao Cai), the lowlands in northern Vietnam (Halong Bay, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Ninh Binh), north of the Central Region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh) and the south of the Central Region of Vietnam (from Da Nang, Hoi Ann to Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan). It is still very hot in the extreme Northwest (Son La, Dien Bien and Lai Chau), part of the North of the Central Region (Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue), the Central Highlands and all over the South of Vietnam. It has been hot in the South of Vietnam for several days already and this is not normal. The Northeast of Vietnam enjoys a cloudy day with pleasant temperatures.
25-April-2019 The temperatures get slightly better, but a hot day still in the Northwest of Vietnam (Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai), in the north of the Central Region of Vietnam (Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue), the Central Highlands of Vietnam (Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Gia Lai) and all of inland South Vietnam (Saigon and the vincinity and the Mekong Delta). Hanoi is cloudy and breezy but quite humid.
24-April-2019 A hot day with temperatures above 36oC in the Northwest of Vietnam (Son La, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Lao Cai), in the Central Region of Vietnam which is north of the Hai Van Pass (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue), the Central Highlands (Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak) and all over South Vietnam (Saigon, the vincinity and the Mekong Delta), except Vung Tau.
23-April-2019 The temperatures get much better today in most regions of the country while it is still hot in the Northwest and in the South of Vietnam. Hanoi has a sunny, breezy and pleasant day while Ho Chi Minh City is too hot.
22-April-2019 the foehn effect is weakening and the temperatures are slightly lower than yesterday in most of Vietnam. Still the temperatures remain at high levels (36-38oC) in the Northwest, North of the Central Region (from Thanh Hoa to Hue) and all over the South of Vietnam (Saigon, the vincinity and the Mekong Delta). Temperatures are high from 1000 A.M through 16:00 and it is recommended to stay indoors during these hours.
21-April-2019 The temperatures have got lower in most of the lowlands in northern Vietnam. Nice weather is found in the Northeast, much of the Red River Delta, south of the Central Region (from Quang Ngai to Binh Thuan) and the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Very hot weather is found in the Northwest of Vietnam, the north of the Central Region (north of Hai Van Pass) and all of South Vietnam. Hanoi is breezy and cloudy, but humid still and the realfeel is wam but much better than yesterday.
20-April-2019 The heat strike continues and temperatures remain record-high in the North and in the Central Region north of the Hai Van Pass (from Thanh Hoa to Hue). The highest temperatures are found in the Northwest Vietnam and North of the Central Region. In the south of Vietnam, the temperatures get slightly better but remain at high levels (above 35-36oC). The provinces in the Central Region south of the Hai Van Pass (from Da Nang to Binh Thuan) have a sunny day with temperatures below 35oC. The Central Highlands have a sunny day with pleasant temperatures (below 34oC).
19-April-2019 The hot temperatures caused by the foehn effect are found in all of North Vietnam, the Central Region from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang and Hoi An. The temperatures from 11:00 A.M to 16:00 surpass 36-37oC. The high temperatures make the humidity lower and there are dangers of forest fires.
18-April-2019 The hot and low-pressure air masses which started causing the temperatures in the Northwest of Vietnam to record high yesterday are having their effects in the Northwest and the North of the Central Region of Vietnam today. The temperatures are to get more than 36oC in the affected regions. The heat strike is to continue making the temperatures in most of Vietnam above 36oC in the next few days. The expected hottest regions are North of Vietnam, the Central Coast north of the Hai Van Pass and South of Vietnam.
17-April-2019 a day of clouds and mild sunshine in northern Vietnam and Central Coast of Vietnam, rains in most of the Central Highlands and South of Vietnam. The western side of Vietnam from the Northwest to the Central Region and South of Vietnam are receiving a new heat strike from tomorrow with temperatures surpassing 38oC and realfeel above 40oC.
