Things to do in Thanh Hoa Vietnam

Thanh Hoa is a province in the North of the Central Region of Vietnam, 160km south of Hanoi. Sam Son Beach in Thanh Hoa is mostly visited by the Vietnamese tourists in the summer while the rest of the province rarely have foreign visitors.

- Sam Son Beach, Hai Hoa, Hai Tien Beaches are all crowded in the summer but virtually empty in the winter. You’ll have a quiet vacation in the winter then.

- Visiting Pu Luong Nature Reserve, you can go trekking staying with ethnic families (Thai, Muong), cycling on the mountain roads or just have easy time relaxing at some of the eco resorts in the area.

- Visiting the Ho Family Citadel which was built in the 15th century and which tells a lot about the Vietnamese history and the process of constructing the great architecture. The citadel can be visited on a walking tour or you may like to go on a wonderful country back road cycling trip combining the surrounding villages and the citadel.

- Visiting Ben En National Park which is really rarely visited by foreign visitors. You may like to have a wonderful boat trip in the national park, or go watching butterflies or birding. It should take a full day for all activities.

- Visiting the Ham Rong Bridge which was famous during the Vietnam War (American War). The area from Bim Son to Thanh Hoa City received an enormous amount of US Bombardments and the bridge shows lots of the Vietnamese resilience.
