How to travel from Hue to Da Nang

Da Nang is 120km south of Hue, both cities are popular tourist attractions in Vietnam. Hue has a traditional atmosphere while Da Nang bears an energetic vibe. Find out how to travel from Hue to Da Nang and what to expect on the trip.

By local bus: There are several buses which depart Hue for Da Nang every day from the city center which drop passengers off at Da Nang center. The road trip takes 2 hours. There are several tourist buses from Hue to Da Nang every day from Hue tourist quarter.

By train: There are a few trains from Hue to Da Nang with soft seat carriages and sleeper cabins. The train journey takes 3 hours. It is a short journey and the railways company may not allocate seats/sleepers for the route during certain busy period.

By motorbike: Travel from Hue to Da Nang by motorbike is a real fun adventure for those who love riding motorbikes. You can either take the busy route one and stop at the Lang Co Beach and the Hai Van Pass; or you can take the coastal road with spectacular scenery on the way.
