The low pressure air trough which entered the East Vietnam Sea on 28July2020 has strengthened to be a tropical depression, the second one in Vietnam in 2020.

0100 A.M: Tropical Depression No. 2 is in the northwest of the Paracel Islands of Vietnam packing sustained winds of 40-60kph. The projected path in the next 24 hours is wnw. The tropical depression could cover 15-20km per hour and can strengthen to be a typhoon.
0700 A.M: Tropical Depression No. 2 is 130km southeast of the Hainan Island of China packing sustained winds of 50-60kph. The projected path in the next 24 hours is wnw. The tropical depression could cover 15-20km per hour and can strengthen to be a typhoon.
About mid day today Tropidal Depression No. 2 has strengthened to be a tropical storms - Typhoon Sinlaku. This is the second typhoon on the East Vietnam Sea in 2020.

0700 A.M: Typhoon No. 2 is on the sea area from Thai Binh to Nghe An carrying sustained winds of 60-75kph. The projected path in the next 12 hours is wnw making landfall on the coast of Ninh Binh - Nghe An and weaken to be a tropical depression again.
1000 A.M: Typhoon No. 2 is on the sea area from Thai Binh to Nghe An carrying sustained winds of 60-75kph. The projected path in the next 12 hours is wnw making landfall on the coast of Ninh Binh - Nghe An and weaken to be a tropical depression again.
1300: Typhoon No. 2, which has weakened to be a tropical depression again after making landfall, is in Ninh Binh - Thanh Hoa carrying sustained winds of 40-50kph. The projected path in the next 12 hours is wnw making its way further inland weakening to be a low pressure air trough in northern Laos territory.
By the end of the day the tropical depression has weakened to be a low pressure air trough in Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa making its way further into Laos. This is the last update of this tropical depression/typhoon.
