Hue Vietnam

Tam Giang – Cau Hai Nature Reserve is a huge lagoon stretching northwest-southeast for 68km along the coastline in the districts of Phong Dien, Quang Dien, Phu Vang, Phu Loc and the town of Huong Tra. The width of the lagoon is from 1-10km.

Vietnam is endowed with over three thousand kilometers of coastline with numerous fine white sand beaches. Amazingly, most Vietnamese tourists and foreign travellers tend to spend their holidays at some popular spots only; while the majority of beaches in Vietnam including those with great luxury resorts and fresh seafood of dirt-cheap prices are left just empty.

Hue was the capital city of Vietnam under the Nguyen Dynasty during the period from 1802 to 1945. Hue Citadel was where the Royal Court of the Nguyen Dynasty was seated and where the Royal Family lived.

The Kien Trung Palace is right on the middle axis of Hue Imperial Citadel. The architecture is at the northern end of this axis in the Purple Forbidden City of Hue and was built in 1921-1923 by King Khai Dinh.

Hue City belongs to Thua Thien Hue Province in the Central Region of Vietnam. Hue was the capital city of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945, the city is 690km south of Hanoi. Hue is home to the most ancient imperial citadel in South East Asia. The Ancient Imperial Citadel of Hue and the Royal Tombs are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The Tu Duc Tomb is located in Thuong Ba Village, Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province. The tomb also has another name Khiem Lang meaning the Mausoleum of Modesty.
