General Weather Patterns in Vietnam in November
November is winter in northern Vietnam with dry or wet weather depending on conditions of a specific year, possibly some light rain, pleasant or cold temperatures (18-28oC) . It is rare that there are typhoons hitting northern Vietnam in November.
If there is a typhoon in November, then it is more likely that they have impacts on the Central Coast of Vietnam. If so, then it is expected that most places in the Central Coast have floods.
November is the rainy season in the Central Coast of Vietnam which is often caused by the Tropical Convergence Zone, and possibly by the Northeasterly Monsoon bringing moisture from the sea inland, and high mountains to the west of the region blocking clouds.
November is the the beginning of the dry season in the Central Highlands and southern Vietnam. The temperatures in the Central Highlands are 19-30oC and those in southern Vietnam are 25-30oC.

- The Northeasterly Monsoon which may come from Tibet or Siberia which causes cool weather in northern Vietnam and rainy weather in the Central Coast of Vietnam.
November is the time that an Intertropical Convergence Zone has axis over the Central Coast of Vietnam causing the accumulation of clouds over this region, hence heavy and long-lasting rain here.
Possible Dangers From Extreme Weather: Snow in the mountains of the North of Vietnam
There are chances of dangerous weather in far northern Vietnam in November which is often a result of torrential rain.
