February is spring in northern Vietnam, about to be the end of the rainy season in the Central Coast of Vietnam and the dry season in the Central Highlands and southern Vietnam.
The air is often moist or even wet in northern Vietnam due to meetings of different winds. There are often light drizzles in northern Vietnam and it is normally foggy in this region, too.
The Northeasterly Wind still prevails and the sea is often rough all over the East Vietnam Sea from the North to the South.
The temperatures are often pleasant all over Vietnam in February. In high mountains in the far North it may still be cold.
First 10 Days of February 2023
The North of Vietnam started having typical spring weather at the beginning of February 2023: moist air, light drizzles and pleasant temperatures (19-22oC).
The Central Coast had light rain still which is alternated by clouds.
The Central Highlands and South of Vietnam had beautiful sunny days with pleasant temperatures.

- Northwest of Vietnam: light rain, clouds, sun, 17-27oC, 17-29oC in Dien Bien;
- Lowlands in northern Vietnam: wet, light drizzles, 19-22oC;
- North of the Central Coast: light rain, clouds, 19-22oC;
- Central Coast from Quang Binh to Hue: rain, 20-26oC;
- Central Coast from Da Nang to Quy Nhon: clouds mostly, some light rain, 21-26oC;
- Central Coast from Tuy Hoa to Nha Trang: sun and clouds mostly, some light rain, 23-28oC;
- Central Coast from Phan Rang-Thap Cham to Phan Thiet: sun and clouds, 23-32oC;
- Central Highlands: sun and clouds, 17-31oC;
- Southern Vietnam: sun, 24-32oC mostly, 23-35oC in Ho Chi Minh City.
Second 10 Days of February 2023
The second 10 days of February started with moist and misty weather in the North at first. Then it turned dry and cold in the North from 14-February as a new spell of cold wind arrived.
The Central Coast started having dry weather with pleasant temperatures.
The Central Highlands and South of Vietnam continued to enjoy lovely days of the dry season with pleasant temperatures.
The weather in different regions in Vietnam:
- Northeast of Vietnam: clouds mostly with some light rain, 11-18oC in the Northeast;
- Northwest of Vietnam: clouds, sun, 11-23oC, sun and 14-25oC in Dien Bien;
- Lowlands in northern Vietnam: sun, clouds, winds, 14-18oC;
- North of the Central Coast: sun, light rain, clouds, 15-19oC;
- Central Coast from Quang Binh to Hue: rain, clouds, sun, 17-23oC;
- Central Coast from Da Nang to Quy Nhon: clouds mostly, some light rain, some sun, 21-26oC;
- Central Coast from Tuy Hoa to Nha Trang: sun and clouds mostly, some light rain and mist, 21-28oC;
- Central Coast from Phan Rang-Thap Cham to Phan Thiet: sun and clouds, 22-32oC;
- Central Highlands: sun and clouds, 18-30oC;
- Southern Vietnam: sun, 22-32oC mostly, 23-34oC in Ho Chi Minh City.
Last 8 Days of February 2023
There was a spell of the Northeasterly Wind hitting Vietnam on 24-February-2023. There was light rain in parts of Northern Vietnam, and in the Central Coast from Ha Tinh to Khanh Hoa.
Generally speaking this period was great for sightseeing tours, family holidays, trekking adventure holidays in Northern Vietnam and for beach holidays in Southern Vietnam. It was also good for visiting tourist sites in the Central Coast of the country.
