2-May-2019 The whole country is back to work after long public holidays in Vietnam. Clouds and rains are found in most of the country and the temperatures are very pleasant. Tay Ninh and Dien Bien Phu are the only 2 provinces with mid day temperatures reaching 36oC; the rest of the country enjoys lovely temperatures: 18-28oC in the North and 20-32oC in the others.
1/The Northeast of Vietnam (Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen): clouds all over, 17-26oC. Dong Van Pleau (Ha Giang) is cloudy, 14-18oC.
The Northwest of Vietnam: Hoa Binh, Yen Bai and Lao Cai have clouds 22-29oC. Sapa is cloudy and rainy, 13-19oC. Mu Cang Chai is cloudy, 17-26oC.
Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau: clouds and sun 23-36oC. Son La has rains in the afternoon. Moc Chau Plateau is cloudy, 18-23oC.
The lowlands (Halong Bay, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh): rains and clouds all over, lovely temperatures, 22-28oC.
2/North of the Central Region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh) clouds, pleasant temperatures, rains in the evening, 24-29oC.
3/The coastal areas in the Central Region of Vietnam (Central Coast of Vietnam including: Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan)
Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue: clouds all over, nice temperatures, Quang Binh has rains in the afternoon and evening, 25-33oC.
Da Nang, Hoi An: sunny, 25-32oC;
Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh (Quy Nhon Beach), Phu Yen (Tuy Hoa Beach): sun and clouds, 23-32oC.
Khanh Hoa (Nha Trang), Ninh Thuan (Ninh Chu Beach), Binh Thuan (Phan Thiet Beach, Mui Ne Beach): cloudy mostly, Ninh Thuan has rains in the afternoon, 27-32oC.
4/The Central Highlands (Kon Tum, Gia Lai - Pleiku, Dak Lak - Buon Ma Thuot, Lam Dong) clouds and rains all over, 23-31oC. Da Lat is rainy, 17-23oC.
5/The South of Vietnam: The torrential rains in the afternoon and evening with considerable rainfalls in several regions in South Vietnam have helped to bring down the temperatures. At Long An, torrential rains in the afternoon are accompanied by strong winds which cause quite some damage; hailstones are found in the rains. Streets in several cities and districts of Dong Nai are temporarily flooded.
- Vung Tau, Saigon, Mekong Delta are mostly clouds and rains, 27-35oC.
- Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc: clouds mostly, rains in the afternoon, 25-34oC. Tay Ninh is cloudy and warm, 27-36oC.
Con Dao Islands are clouds, 26-30oC; Phu Quoc Island is cloudy, 28-32oC.
