The difference between the Common Tailorbird and the Mountain Tailorbird:
1/ Common Tailorbird
- Eyeline: No clear eyeline;
- Nape: Brownish or gray tinged or tinted with brown.
- Throat: Black lines to the sides of the throat at the base;
- Back and rump: Bright olive-green;
- Flanks: white or whitish;
- Underparts: White or whitish;
2/ Mountain Tailorbird
- Eyeline: Gray or black or dark eyeline with black or gray lores;
- Throat: No black line;
- Back and rump: Grey tinged with olive-green;
- Flanks: Bright yellow;
- Underparts: Yellow and white;
