Both these two birds have green the hood possessing blue, red and black colors.
The difference between Blue-throated Barbet and Blue-eared Barbet in Vietnam:
1/ Blue-throated barbet (Psilopogon faiostrictus)
Blue mostly.
Red-fronted, red-capped.
2/ Blue-eared barbet (Psilopogon lineatus)
Blue ears have red marks around.
Adults are black fronted, juveniles are green-fronted or yellow-fronted.
