- Central Highlands 5 GMs (15 + 9 = 24 battalions, 9 from lowland): GM100 (from Korea), GM21 (from southern VN), GM11 (from Binh-Tri-Thien), GM41 &GM42 remained here as earlier. New hedgehot at An Khe;
- Interzone 5: 16 battalions of which GM10 from France. - Dien Bien Phu: 12 battalions + 7 companies. - Southern Vietnam: 3 undermanned Euro-African battalions + 12 newly founded Vietnamese battalions. - Red River Delta: (27 battalions for mobile purposes): 3 GMs + 18 independent battalions including those protecting De Lattre's bunkers and local troops.
