The Whale Island is located in the Van Phong Bay of Khanh Hoa Province. The island is 110km northeast of Nha Trang Beach City, the provincial capital of Khanh Hoa.

The Whale Island has the land area of 40 hectares without a population. There is only one resort on the island which supplies all travel services to in-house guests.
What To Do on the Whale Island
1/ Snorkelling Tours
Discovering the untouched coral around the Whale Island is a great experience for most travelers. The rents for snorkeling gears are cheap.
2/ Kayaking around the Whale Island
Another great experience at the Whale Island is to kayak around. The water is calm mostly and the surroundings are just quiet.
3/ Scuba-diving
Those scuba-diving is not for everyone but most likely you can do it with assistance of an experienced instructor. The coral around the Whale Island is colorful and untouched, make sure you appreciate the untouched states of the natural environment before taking part in explorations here.
4/ Walking on the island
If you just want an easy vacation with some easy activities, you may like to have a walk to explore the Whale Island by yourself. There are a few trails for you to follow and mostly it takes two hours to explore the whole island on foot.

How To Get There
From Nha Trang City, follow Route 1A northward for 80km to Van Tho Commune, Van Ninh District, then turn right for 30km to Dam Mon. From Dam Mon Pier take a 15-minute boat trip to the Whale Island.
