  • Bebinca, the second tropical storm in Vietnam in 2013, is expected to arrive on 23June2013. From 22June2013, junks and boats are suspended from cruising on Halong Bay, the most popular tourist attractions in the country.

  • Halong Bay Authority has stopped granting permits to boats and overnight cruise junks to make tours on the bay from 10 A.M on 1-August-2019 due to the expected strike of the Wipha Typoon (No.3 Typhoon in the East Sea of Vietnam in 2019).

  • Halong Bay is located in Vietnam's Gulf of Tonkin, 165km north-east of Hanoi. The bay is endowed with over 3,000 limestones islands jutting out of the emerald sea water.     26April2012 Phuc Thinh Company started the commuting speedboats between Halong Bay (Quang Ninh Province) and Cat Ba Island (Hai Phong Province). The piers at Ha Long City are Hon Gai and Tuan Chau Island; those on Cat Ba Island are Gia Luan and Ben Beo.
