According to Vietnam Airlines, the flights between Da Nang and Hai Phong of Vietnam are to be reopened on 28-April-2011, just right before the big Vietnamese travel occasion: Vietnam Reunification Day (30/04) and Labor Day (1/5). Passengers are to fly ATR72s on these flights which are planned on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Vietnam Airlines had to close flights between these 2 cities 10 years ago. Earlier, the Airlines also openen flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong.

AirAsia is to begin direct flights between Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Da Nang (Vietnam) from 16Dec2011. The airline plans 4 flights per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and all flights are with Airbus 320. Beside Da Nang, AirAsia also flies to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) of Vietnam.

From 14Dec2011, Asiana Airlines began weekly flights between Seoul Incheon Airport (South Korea) and Danang International Airport (Vietnam), announced the airlines spokesperson. The aircrafts for these flights are Airbus 321-200 with 177 seats. There is huge demand for air travel between South Korea and Vietnam and Asiana Airlines has flights between major cities of the two countries: Incheon - Ho Chi Minh City (14 flights per week), Incheon - Hanoi (7 flights per week), Busan - Ho Chi Minh City (7 flights per week), Busan - Hanoi (7 flights per week), Incheon - Danang (1 flight per week).

VietJetAir is to begin flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang from 27April2012 and between Hanoi - Nha Trang from 19May2012. The flights between Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang are twice daily and the flights Hanoi - Nha Trang are once daily. 27April2012 VietjetAir, a low-cost air carrier in Vietnam, started flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang (in the Central Region of Vietnam). All flights on this route are with Airbus A320 with 180 seats. Initially, the air firm plans two return flights per day for these two cities. VietjetAir is planning to begin flights between Hanoi and Nha Trang from 19May2012.

22Oct2012 Vietnam Airlines announced to begin flights between Da Nang and Vinh (Nghe An Province) on 28Oct2012. The flights are operated on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The aircrafts used for these flights are ATR72 with 68 seats. The flight from Da Nang departs at 09:30 A.M and the return flight from Vinh departs at 11:25 A.M. The flight duration is 1 hour 15 minutes.
Qatar Airways is to launch direct flights between Doha (Qatar) - Da Nang (Vietnam) from December 2018. The air carrier, who has been successful in operating direct flights between Doha - Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Doha - Hanoi (Vietnam), would like to expand the operation to Da Nang, a beach city in the Central Region of Vietnam.
