Reparation of one of the two runways at Ho Chi Minh City Tan Son Nhat Airport has been completed and the runway has been ready for flights again from 2July2013. Saigon Tan Son Nhat Airport has two runways built by the Americans in 1965-1967 for military aircrafts. The runways were upgraded and renewed in 1992 and 2002 to accommodate the busy flight schedules and different commercial aircrafts. The closure of the runway caused a lot of shuffles in the domestic flights in Vietnam, as Tan Son Nhat is the busiest airport in the country.
